Reasons for Baby's Demand

After smally's (brother's babyboy) entry we were like now we should be more careful with Kiele coz she should not feel insecure etc.. etc.. knowing how children are when there is a new entrant in the house. I kept all of them informed in the house that they should give equal attention to her and not to mention all the time that now she has grown big and we need to take care or look after the smaller one..hence behave urself etc.. etc..
I know of a friend of mine who has just delivered a baby girl and her first baby is around 4 years old. So long she was alone รข€“ she was a very obedient and well mannered child. The moment there was a new entrant her attitude, behavior everything changed this was told by my friend to me. When the massage lady would massage the baby she too wanted to be massaged. She would not listen when told something coz she wanted a mom and dad to keep repeating the statement “ coz she wanted attention. With my friend's experience I was prepared for Kiele behavior also to change. The same thing happened when she demanded to be tied at night like smally. So these changes take place in the family but one must be able to manage and give time for both and not make the elder child feel left alone or else she will develop a feeling of insecurity and become stubborn and feel that nobody loves them anymore.. hence this is a message to all moms.

Baby's Demands

My Brother just became a father of a baby boy last week on the 27th of June. The baby boy just arrived home 2 days back. Looking at the infant being tied up with a cloth she too wants to be treated the same way. Though she's 1.5 years old now she is very observant and wants to be tied up in the same way before going to sleep. She starts screaming "tie..tie" after seeing the baby being tied up. So we have to take the bed sheet and tied her up for sometime to please her. Will have to wait and see what more things she is going to demand for. :)

Babes tantrums

Now that she is just 17 months old but one must check her tantrums and her attitude. The other day I scolded her for not having her milk coz its become a daily routine to fuss about having milk at night. So I though if this continues she will complete stop having milk hence thought of scolding at her and making her aware that milk is important and she needs to have it. So I shouted at her and stuff. She just started running away from me from one room to the other since I had a glass of milk in my hand so to avoid it. As I was getting mad at her my voice increased. This all happened at night u wont believe her action and behaviour after that. She just refused to come next to me and only wanted my mom to hold her. She just turned her face if I would go next to her to carry her. She always sleeps next to me holding me but on that day she refused to even come and sleep next to me.. I forcibly took her to the bed she cried and slept at one end of the bed turning her backside. Trust me I was shocked not only me but all at home with this kind of behaviour. We never expected her to show this kind of behaviour at this age. Nobody can scream at her or scold her or else she will just go to the other room and not look at your face.

Home remedy

Hi..

yesterday all of a sudden in the evening babes started passing loose i mean watery motions.. i just started thinking what did she eat etc... but didnt waste time in giving her home remedy treatment.

I immediately gave her black tea to drink.. applied Axe oil on her tummy and tied her tummy tight with a cloth... believe me her motions stopped immediately... and she was fine...

hence thought of sharing this to you. black tea with one or two drops of lime juice in it is very effective.

Also started giving her lot of water to drink.. always remember whenever your child passes motions frequently immediately stir a little sugar, pinch of salt in the water and give the child to drink to prevent dehydration...

Babes is out of this fear thing..

I must say that we made a good decision and bought her a bike as Christmas Gift as per my earlier post...

Now that fright has jus;t vanished and is just out of her mind.. i was really amazed the other day when I saw her at the garden - sitting on the swing.. there was a time when she would just refuse to sit on it and cry bitterly if we would force her on it... but this time readily she sat and was laughing and enjoying the swings... we really felt really happy and satisfied...

Next step is to make her sit on the see-saw and try if she is scared.. didnt want to try all new things on the same day.. hence will go about one at a time...
